WHAT IS THIN CLIENT COMPUTING
The thin client is a Computing model connecting thin client software or thin client hardware device on the server side using a highly efficient network protocol such as Citric ICA.
HOW DOES THIN CLIENT WORK
The thic clients is works you need to start with server part of the model to put it simply in the thin client all applications and data are deployed managed and supported at the server.
WHY THIN CLIENTS
1. Enhanced access and management :
- Reduced cost of PC software development and maintenance.
- Avoid tampering with PCs.
- Standard software environment everyone uses the same version.
- Reduced support troubleshooting and data recovery costs.
2. Prolong PC lifecycle :
- Hardware intensive PC applications can be run by low-level PCs.
- Life cycle of University endorsed student Notebooks could be extended to four years.
- Lifecycle of any PC can be extended.
3. Centralized management Single point of control:
- Central management of Servers software.
- Less expensive and more robust hardware device.
- Thin desktop clients.
- Thin notebook that are lighter and have loger battery life.
4. Ease of use :
- Instant on.
- No configuration or loading.
HOW A THIN CLIENT LOOkS LIKE
We have discussed all about thin client technology. Now let's take look at a thin client in comparison to a conventional PC.
Question
1. How a Thin client looks like ?
2. Why Thin Clients ?
3. How Does Thin client work ?
4. What is Thin client Computing ?
5. How many types of thin clients ?

HISTORY OF VRITUALIATION
The concept of vritualistion was first invented by IBM in the 1960 to fully utility maninframe hardware by logically them into vritual machine.
IMB began exploring vritualiation with CP-40 and M44 /44x research system .
TERMS USED IN VIRTUALIZATION
1. Hypervisor : is a PC software firmware or hardware that creates and runs virtual machines.
2. Host Machine : is the physical machine [with higher configuration] runs inside this host Machine.
3. Guest VM also known as guest vitual machine these are the machine running inside the hypervior.
HOW MANY TYPES OF HYPERNISOR
There are two types of hypervisor Type 1 and Type hypervisor run directly on the system hardware. They are often referred to as a "native" or "bare metal" or "embedded" hypervisor in vendor literature. Type hypervisor run on a host operating system.
different vitualization platforms
VMware Virtualization Fundamentals
A typical VMware Sphere data center consists of basic physical building blocks such as x86 virtualization servers, storage networks and arrays, IP networks, a management server, and desktop clients. The v Sphere data center topology includes the following components.
Quesation
1. what is vmware ?
2. how many types of hypervisor ?
3. waht is history of virtualization ?
4. what is virtualization ?
5. How many types of virtualization ?
