INSTALLING A PRINTER

                         Introduction 

   

Before installing the printer you have  check the minimum hardware and software requirements in the printers user manual than you have installed your printer.

CONNECTING PRINTER

- Set printer near computer. 

- Install software that came with printer .

- Plug the printer. 

- Windows  will automatically find new printer and install required additional software. 

- printer will get installed. 

- If there is any problem in installing printer updated drivers.

SOURCES OF PRINTERS DRIVERS

1. USB printer.

2. Manufacturer website. 

3. Other websites. 

4. Like. Apart is a manufacturer website there the some website available  eg. NoDevice. Com and DriverGuide.com from there we can easily download printer drivers. 

SETTING THE PRINTER AS DEFAULT 

Default printer is print the unless program automatically if any other printer. 

How to set the default  printer ? 

- Go to the control panel and access the printer device. 

- Right click the printer and select set as default  printer. 

                 SHARING A PRINTER AND                    CONFIGURING A PRINTER  

Clicking on any of your listed devices and give you the option to view the devices queue manage the device and remove the device. Manage the device when you can see the device status like the printer page and run the troubleshooting that you will see over view properties. 

      STEPS TO CONFIGURE A PRINTER 

1. Go to the control panel and access the printer devices.

2. Right click the printer and select the printer properties. 

3. Go to the ports tab and click the configuring  port button. 

4. Configuring  the option according to the needs. 

                                             TCP/IP PRINTING

TCP/IP is the recommended method for network printing your printer "TCP/IP  Addressed. "It  is a fast method sending the job print directly to the printer.  It is used to be that printer directly attached to PCs serial. Parallel. Or USB port. Today printer are directly connected to the network. 

                                                                     AIR PRINTER 

Air printer used by the MacOS  and operating system for printing wireless LAN (Wi-Fi).
